Ok, I obviously overstated your potential earnings in the headline, but I do think that buying a Home in Boise is still a great idea. As I’ve mentioned before, markets are local and bound to certain principals and the fundamentals that make Boise a great place to live are clear. Boise is more than a nice place to work and live, but a great place to play! There is skiing in the winter, hiking and walking along the Boise River in the spring, camping, fishing and whitewater rafting in the summer and hunting in the fall. Year round, it’s a lifestyle that many people are looking for, each with their own experiences.
But how can owning a home in Boise make you money? Well, from an investment standpoint you can either buy a home or rent one. I think we can all agree that renting is in general a waste of your hard earned dollars but there is little to no risk involved and like a savings account (without the savings) there is no financial return. If you own a home however there is a really good chance that over the long term, you will see a sizable return on your investment. With good planning, consultation and some education, you’ll be certain to capitalize on your home purchase and at the same time be able to enjoy the natural amenities that Boise has to offer.
To underscore my point, Coleman Homes recently purchased 189 building lots in the Harris Ranch Development just east of downtown Boise. In spite of the dooms day news about the real estate and financial markets, builders and developers are still going forward with projects that are certain to be successful. Keep in mind however that Harris Ranch is not a poorly thought out real estate-boom type of development; It’s surrounded with some of the best natural amenities that Boise has to offer since the project is comfortably and conveniently sandwiched between the foothills and the Boise River. Intelligent investors know that there will always be a demand for well planned, thought out housing developments that offer more than a community pool or a tot-lot, even in times of real estate downturns.
The point is similar to the recent purchases that Warren Buffet has made into the stock market regardless of the volatility that has so many people wound up. He’s made it clear by spending Billions of dollars that there are certain companies out there that have all of the right fundamentals in place and that now with prices low, is a good time to buy. So it is with the Boise real estate market; buying a home in the right area at the right price is going to be a good decision for the longer term.
Studying the Boise real estate market is part of my job and I can help you make a wise, goal oriented purchase. If you’ve considered making a move, don’t just look at the sticker prices of the homes on the market, look at the whole picture and make an intelligent purchase. Call me and I’ll show you how.
